I never like to state "My favorite band" but if it wasn't for Minor Threat "Hard Core" would not of become a genre. Perhaps best summed up up by their own lyrics "I'm out of step with the world" which became the pioneer for the "straight edge" movement stating abstinence from Alcohol, substance abuse & promiscuous sex, ..".but at least I can think! Misinterpreted cynical words "Guilty of being white" their social comment was not for dead heads. A stand out classic. Untouchable! James .R. Dixon
A friend shared this album with me a couple of years ago and I latched on to it immediately, for it was (and still is) my lifeline. The style is like nothing I've ever heard before and the lyrics are everything I've never been able to say. There just is this palpable awareness of the human condition that I've yet to find anywhere else. dobb's-playlists
A complete 180 of their sound, Minor Threat soften things up a notch by bringing an acoustic guitar on the mix and slow tempos (except Salad Days which is the obvious highlight). Still a solid release hinting on how they should’ve sounded in the future if they were still around. BM | مرقس
